Hi Guys
Can somebody point me in the right direction on this issue? I am trying to figure out how to write the logic for an analog input that is 20.9 = 4ma and 0 = 20ma.
This is an oxygen sensor. Am familiar with the standard 4-20ma loops but have never dealt with the reverse loop type. Any help would be appreciated.

I am sure there is an easy answer to this but I have not found it yet. I have just received the Click Analog module C0-02DR-D and am trying to configure the new Analog inputs for use in my application written prior to the Analog module's introduction. On the Analog Input Module setup screen, the column under VOLTAGE is not blue. What causes it to not be blue? If I connect to the module and start a new application, the module presents a blue column and saves my choices of VOLTAGE or CURRENT. When the blue column is not present, my choices are not saved. I was hoping I could remove the original CPU (C0-00DR-D) and plug in the new Analog CPU (C0-02DR-D), then add code to include Analog inputs for my previously written application. I don't have to start all over and write the application from scratch if I want to now have Analog inputs, do I? I have upgraded the firmware in the CPU and have converted my application to 1.10, so I thought that would handle the CPU and previous application being aware of each other. Apparently there is something more to be done.

Thanks for any suggestions or knowledge.

As I was sitting at my desk, fielding a less-than-exciting support call, I started wondering if I could post to Twitter from a PLC. I've done it with Arduino, but never a PLC.

My goal would have been to directly post it, and figured ECOM email would be the best route. A quick search found that by using blogger.com to take an email blog submission, and twitterfeed.com to repost an RSS feed to twitter, it could easily be done. Within 5 minutes I had my PLC posting to blogger.com via email, then twitterfeed relaying to twitter.

I know none of this is a ground-breaking discovery, but it's pretty neat to have your devices posting their own status reports!

First time I used the Cmore and I have a few suggestions for features that I would like to see added.

1. An option for BEEP PULSE, When pressing a button the beep comes on and stays on as long as the button is pushed. I would like an option for this to be a configurable 1-shot , where this can be set to maximum on-time.

2. Notification and Handshake Option for Text Entry box. You have this feature for numeric entry, why is it missing for text entry?

3. Tab navigation on grouped objects. When you group a lot of objects together and you need to change the properties of each object in the group, it is difficult to click on object you want. THis is especially difficult it they overlap. You could setup the tab key to cycle the focus for each object and then use the return key to edit the individual property in the group.

4. Allow bitmapped text for all fonts. On other HMI's they allow this and I can choose "small fonts" font to get more text on a button.

5. Add a pixel width specification for frames.

6. Add Rulers to the screen or hash marks for half, quarters. Yes, I know you can adjust the grid for this, but I like the grid small and have markers for these divisions to make objects symetrical on the screen.

7.Transparency Option for numeric Display.

8. Filling Shapes . Fill option changes to require a tag when advanced features are selected. What if you are selecting advanced features to get another feature and want the shape filled without a tag. Yes, you can put a dummy tag, but why add extra communcations traffic when it is not necessary? Replace with an either-or selection on how to fill the shape. Perhaps a radio button selection on fill type?

9. Radius specification on the shape objects.

These are just a few, I will be adding items as I work with the unit.

Hello,

I have a PLC and CMORE at a live construction site. Is there a way to set a screen saver password? I see the last user can "log off" and toggle the screensaver function. If I could just password the "wake up" from screen saver, I can keep unauthorized (read: hooligans!) off my CMORE interface!

I know I can password protect individual screens, but even my operators hate entering a password every time they go to certain screens, so a single login via screen saver seems logical!

Don't see where it can be done, though :(

If anyone has already done this, please reply! Many Thanks :)

Using F0-04RTD module.
RTD: RTD0100-10-010-H
Cable: CDP12-0B-010-AA (removed the female connector to use the wires direct to F0-04RTD terminal block.
Updated the DL05 firmware to 5.30

Per Fast Engineering wired:
Pin #1 BRN to CH1(+)
Pin#2 WHT no connection
Pin#3 BLU CH1(-)
Pin#4 BLK COM
Note: prior to wiring cable to RTD module, I verified that pins 1&2 inside the probe, and pins 3&4 also. Connected cable t0 probe
and verified continuity between 1 & 2 as paired and the same for pins 3 & 4 as a pair with continuity.

All commons tied together as per manual.
CH2-CH4 (+/-) shorted together as per manual.
Entered a simple setup program as per the manual:
Results: SP600-SP-603 all display ON indicating a burn out on each input(?)
and V2000 shows $7FFF .

The following is the program export which I was using to test.
I am thinking that the SP600-SP603 all ON is indicated a defective F0-04RTD module?
Hoping someone can spot any problems or mistakes.

I notice that when using the Data View window and editing an address in the V7400 range , that any edits
to a memory location in that range changes the non volatile location as well. Usually the edits are for RAM V memory and writing to NV memory is somewhat unexpected. The way I verified this is by having several rungs that restored other V memory locations (not in the V74xx range) when executing a PLC reset..
This seems different from the documentation that indicates that the ONLY way to write to NV memory is to use the MOV instruction. But, there is also a V7400 that is NOT NV memory. So, how can using the Data View edit mode write to the V7400 area that is NOT non volatile memory?

This is something that needs to be clarified.
As a suggestion, I would have it write only to regular v memory and not NV memory. Or better yet, how about a distinction and a choice of writing to either of the two different memories. Perhaps another check box to specify which memory you want to write to, either NV memory or Program memory .
