NFPA 79 or UL 508a

Which do you use, NFPA 79 or UL 508a?

I've been using NFPA 79 for years and feel pretty confident about everything I have built. That said, I have been doing some research on the two standards and how they interrelate and the more I learn, the more confused I get.
