  • GS2 Drive

I really hate to ask, but does anyone know if a GS2-41P0 drive will work on 480 SINGLE PHASE?

    Thanks,

    Well, the manuals says:
    "Only models GS2-10P2, GS2-10P5,

    GS2-11P0, GS2-20P5, GS2-21P0,

GS2-22P0, and GS2-23P0 are rated for

    1-phase input power
    "
and your drive is not in that list, however some people have written that some 3-phase GS drives will work on single phase (I assume probably 230V models) Apparently the 3-phase loss detection either doesn't work or it is only a warning and not a fatal error, but that may well vary with model, firmware revision etc.

Short answer; officially NO, unofficially, the only way to know is to try, one would need to de-rate the drive since the load on the input rectifiers would not be balanced and the ripple on the capacitors would be increased (a lot).
