  • OUT failing to assing word to V-Memory

    SP1
    LD K30
    OUT V2500

The OUT box comes up with a default CO value but when I type in a V the green indicator goes red. What am I doing wrong? - it seems to work elsewhere in my code.

    grateful for any help!

Press the "/" key to change from an OUT coil to an OUT box.

Yes, sadly the OUT coil and OUT box have the same mnemonic, so when you type O-U-T, it defaults to the coil (but sometimes you want the box), hence DirectSOFT utilizes the forward slash key "/" that works on a contact to switch from NO to NC or from = to <> to >= to < or PD contact to ND contact or ???

Anyway, the slash switches from OUT coil to OUT box and back.
