  • DL06 Analog Input Modules

Hi, I have a DL06 that I am trying to install a 4 channel analog current module. The PLC has an existing anolog current combo module with 4 inputs and 2 outputs.

My first question is... can you run 2 analog input modules if it meets power requirements?

My second question is about formatting the program.

The existing analog combo in/out is in Slot 1 and the 4 inout channels are being loaded Octal 2001. The following input registers V2001,2002,2003,2004.

Would I simply add the new 4 channel input module to Slot 2, Load the channels at lets say Octal 2005 and address the new channels at V2005,2006,2007,2008?

All of the units I currently work with only have one analog input card, and they all are programmed similar using Octal 2001 for the module.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Assuming that the chosen V memory locations aren't already being used then you can use them. Make sure that the memory locations for the output channels on your existing card aren't interfering. Use the appropriate setup logic as detailed in the manual.
