  • HISTRY Instruction d4-450 PLC

    Good Day,

I am using a D4-450 PLC to monitor some discrete switch states, looking for a ghost trip on some switch gear. I have programmed each discrete input to one shot a HISTRY instruction. It works great and the time-stamps are perfect for what I am doing. I would like to know where each HISTRY event message is kept in "V" memory so it may be accessed by a possible HMI or SCADA. The instruction help does not indicate this nor does any google search. Any help would be great, thanks for your time and info!

    Regards,

    Tim

The History log is not stored in user memory of the PLC. The log is only available via DirectSOFT (PLC->Diagnostics->Messages).
There are 10 kinds of people in this world, those who know binary, and those who do not.

I had a feeling about that, are the Fault Messages "User defined," the same way?
