  • Internal Booleans listed as Discrete Outputs

    C-000642 , 644 and 651 are Discrete Outputs.
How does this work if the System ID is within the 'C' datatype address space?
I figured out that I can change the 'Type' in the 'Type' column - Please explain how this would be useful?
I do not remember selecting these three to be 'Discrete Outputs.'

This option of assigning a C address to a discrete output is for tag I/o reassignment (help topic P264). If you know your tags but don't have hardware figured out yet, then you can clear out the default tags for an I/O point and then reassign on of your previously created Discrete output tags to this address and then the system ID will change to the standard DO-x.x.x.x format.
