  • Brakes for AC motors?

Any chance on carrying brake units for the Cast Iron Ac motors? Have projects that can use them.

I second this! Especially on the Marathon motor line.
Why worry? If you've done the best you can, worrying won't make it any better

Ac motor brake is an add-on that interfaces between motor and reduction box. Some motors come with integrated brake, but since the worm reduction resists reverse power, most of applications do not need brake. Usually elevators use brake as redundancy to slip-back.

Using brakes means brake maintenance. Brakes do not warrant positional accuracy, they are redundant to slip-back.
