  • Click Ethernet Plc with EA7-T8C

after setting up the CO-11DRE-D Plc via serial port, we have been trying to get the Plc and Cmore to talk over Ethernet using Modbus TCP/IP addressing. Keep getting an error PLC-499 0x0002 from Plc.
we have set up panel manager with the needed information on Port 1 Modbus TCP/IP and the PLC IP address left port 502 as default.
all the tag name addresses have been changed to Modbus addresses.
    Any help would be appreciated.

0x0002 is address not found in HMI. [EDIT] Bad wording! Should be 0x0002 is address IN HMI is not present IN PLC.
you may try adding 1 (or subtracting 1) from addresses.
In the Click TagDatabase (AddressPicker) enable modbus address view (if you haven't already.)

If all else fails, post the Click address and maybe someone here can assist in tying the Click address to the HMI tag.

Are you not using the Automationdirect CLICK Ethernet driver? You shouldn't have to be concerned with the Modbus address if you use that driver.

Error 499 can mean that there are tags in the HMI that are not present in the PLC, or vice-versa.

The wording in my previous post is misleading.

0x0002 is address IN HMI is not present IN PLC.

sorry for poor wording. Thanks to johnaden.
