  • Headless HMI

    Hello,

I am looking into the Headless HMI (EA9-RHMI). I have some washdown touchscreen displays that I would like to use. These displays have an HDMI input on them so I am sure I can get the picture to display ok. But, my main question is how do I get the touch inputs back to the headless HMI? Is that done through the HDMI ports or USB ports?

    See the Technical Specs: https://cdn.automationdirect.com/static/specs/ea9rhmi.pdf

    The supported resolutions are listed.

The touchscreen connection is USB. Only ELO touchscreens are presently supported. If your monitor uses a touchscreen that utilizes the ELO single touch driver then it should work.

Remember AutomationDirect offers a 30-day money-back period on most products. Products must be returned in the original boxes in like-new condition.

I am testing the headless HMI for the first time. I am using an ELO model ET1715L touch screen. The problem I am experiencing is two fold, 1) I need to calibrate the screen 2) Horizontally, the pointer tracks in the opposite direction of my finger movement. Vertically, it is good, just out of calibration.

Use a USB hub to connect a mouse and the touchscreen. Switch to STOP. Use the mouse to navigate the settings to calibrations. Then use the touchscreen to calibrate.
